COVID-19 Update - Monday, March 16, 2020

In Summary:

  • Friday no positive Cases; Monday morning 22 cases (several in Jefferson County, 2 in Shelby County)

  • We are screening all patients and family members at the entrance to our office and taking any patients with a fever to a separate respiratory area.

  • It is very important that we can still see our chronic complicated patients safely so keeping them away from those that are sick is key.

  • Testing for the COVID19 can only be done at Assurance Lab which is located at Church of the Highlands Grandview parking lot beginning tomorrow 03.17.2020

  • Please reserve the testing for those that are sick.  If you have a fever AND a cough AND potential exposure then they will test you but they can only test 500 people a day.

  • If you are trying to find out if you need to isolate ask yourself if you feel you have been exposed and if so ....Isolate.  Don't go for testing until you have symptoms.

  • We are here for you; if you are sick please call our office before coming.  We will give you instructions on what to do next.

  • Our goal is to take care of all our patients.

  • Please be kind.  We know you may not receive test results within 24 hours per normal.  We are down staff due to childcare issues.  Please be patient with us.

  • Don't hoard food, take precautions when going into public places.  Wash your hands and don't touch your face.

  • Don't be afraid of your providers wearing a mask.  We are taking preventative measures to ensure everyone's safety.

  • Virtual Office Visits are being enabled to allow follow up visits to be done virtually.  We will have more information on that as soon as possible.

  • Please continue to use the portal to communicate to not overwhelm our phones.
